Antec Six Hundred V2 PC Case Review

Antec is a company most enthusiasts are well familiar with; they have been around since 1986 with their main focus being cases and power supplies. They launched their "Gamer Series" of cases back in early 2007 with their "Antec 900 Ultimate Gaming Case." A flood of fans for this line and design of cases from Antec soon followed for their high airflow design and use of large fans. That wave continued when they released the Antec 300 case and then the 1200. Today we have the second version of the Antec 600 case and we're here to see if Antec can top their previous success with the Antec 600 v2.

A little over a month ago we announced the Antec Six Hundred v2 on Legit Reviews. Today, we have that very same case to look at and give our opinion on. The Antec 600 v2 is a slight redesign of the original Antec 600 featuring some new attributes like a larger storage hole for cables, front hot-swap 2.5" bay, top mounted "moon roof" window, and a CPU-Backplate cut out for aftermarket cooler installation, like the Antec Kühler 620.

One of the biggest issues with Antec chassis is that the chassis are still a bit cramped. More specifically the motherboard area, it can house fairly large computer components but there is little to no room afterwards. Adding height to the chassis is not always the best option, Antec needs to add a bit more length and a little more width as well. all in all good review.

I have to agree , Antec has a lot of work to do , especially when you compare this to the Cooler Master Storm Scout which can be found for the same price or slightly less..

Just taking one look at the backplate of the Antec 600 tells me that its an inferior design but is priced more than the Scout...

It looks like Antec tried to copy the external look Scout , which is definitely a "benchmark" case in this price range , ive built several systems on that case now and they all come out great , tons of room to hide cables , no sharp edges and my favorite feature...the top handle which is definitely sturdy enough for even the heaviest builds..

Just compare the backplates and general "finish" of these two..

Basically , sorry Antec , for the price id have to go with the CM scout.. It has more features , better build quality and from what i can see , the 600 pales by comparison AND costs more
