I'd be a little reluctant to use this amount of ram as it's not ECC / registered dimms

Amazing to see 16GB going for only 80 bucks though
I remember when 1GB of some nice platinum dimms from OCZ cost over 200
(Ahh, kids these days don't know what memory overclocking is; pushing <3.2v with the ocz "ddr booster" )

yeah, that was something back then. I too remember when some 1GB kits were over $600 and like you said the DDR boosters and high-voltage boards that went well above 3V was crazy.
