The original X25-M 80GB drive came out in 2008 and cost $595 (http://www.legitreviews.com/article/788/1/). This is the newer G2 version and it was $225 when it came out in 2009 - (had to look at my review - http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1022/1/).

Hard to believe we started reviewing SSDs in 2008...
