Autoconnect is checked. Staying in hotel. Have to pay for wifi don't ask. Security key different but F's up first nite and didn't untic the auto connect Now can't change key and pr

Well. I restored from the last automatic restore point (2/21/13). That made the connection confusing enough to allow me to change the key. What a PITA. Moral to the story, don't log in to a strange wireless network after going 36 hours straight on less than 1.5 hours of sleep.

Future reference,

Right click on the LAN icon down by the clock, "Network and Sharing Center", on left "Manage Wireless Connections" when the list comes up, delete the one you want it to forget. Reconnect to the network and re-enter pass key.

tried that early on. Made no difference. I tried every thing I knew to try. The restore didn't work the first time but on the second attempt it took me to the hotel's site then to the log in page and I was able to change the key there. Never could do anything within windows.
