TP-LINK TL-WDR3500 Wireless N600 Router Review - Under $50 Wireless Router!

Featuring simultaneous 2.4GHz 300Mbps and 5GHz 300Mbps connections for 600Mbps of total available bandwidth, the budget friendly TP-Link TL-WDR3500 wireless router is up for review today. Take a look at how this sub $50 router stacks up against a couple of mid-priced N600 and N750 dual band WiFi routers.

Throughout out testing the TP-Link TL-WDR3500 was rock solid with no drops of signal during our use. Once the router was set up, operation was seamless. Many people will appreciate the fact that you can set the router up out of the box with some level of security to your wireless devices in less than 10 minutes using the included Setup Wizard software. For more advanced users, you have the freedom to customize a number of options to personalize the router to your specific needs. We used the TP-Link in an office where there were multiple wired devices – laptops, cell phones, tablets, and a Western Digital media player – were all connected and working successfully using the TL-WDR3500.

Sweet! Thanks Ken, I need to replace that crapola Rosewill router I bought at Christmas and this looks to be very affordable! It didn't take Amazon long to read your positive review and they upped the price to $62.55 so I will be hunting for a better price elsewhere, but the router itself looks great!
I have come to the conclusion that "FaceBook" should be renamed "FacePalm"

Wow, really? Make sure it's the "WDR3500" and not the "3600"

I'll double check the links. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm not sure why I'm getting different prices from yours at different times other than the prices sometimes changing by the hour (egg does it too). I didn't think to take a screenie the first time, I wish I would have. At the time of this screenie for example it is about $62.50 shipped but certainly no one can expect you to have any control over that.

Anyway thanks again Ken for the lowdown, this (or the 3600 for that matter) looks to be pretty good bang for the buck. FYI at the time of this post Newegg has the 3600 for $69.99 shipped, that's not too bad either

Yeah, I'm sorry, I meant to show you that the $49 was still in my browser window...when I hit refresh, the $53/$63...I think you are right that these prices are fluctuating. :-/

Amazon sold out, so you are seeing the price of a different store. Once they come back in stock they will be $49.99 again on Amazon

Newegg has it for $59.99 shipped - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6833704150

Nice! I currently have a pending transfer order to load some cash into my PayPal account, hopefully there will still be a good deal waiting for me when it goes through [-o< (Sucks having to use PayPal balance but I cut up all credit cards months ago, that makes it hard to jump on instant deals)

^^^WOW^^^ yes it is. AMAZON lists it as being sold and shipped through TigerDirect, and they list the same price on their site (as of 11:15AM CST). My next question is "Who gives LegitReviews the best return for click-through purchases, AMAZON or TigerDirect?" I normally would always go directly to the source, but if AMAZON shows you some love for our click-through purchases and TD doesn't, then obviously I would go through AMAZON's link rather than to TD.

If you order it through the link in this forum post (first post) or the review through Amazon (or tiger through amazon) then I'll get credit. If you go straight to either store LR gets nothing.

Excellent review! I've been mulling over the thought of upgrading from my trusty Linksys WRT54G and this may be the inexpensive upgrade I need.
Cyberpower generic case
B450M PRO-VDH MAX
Ryzen 5 3600 w/PBO/OC
CM Hyper 212 EVO push/pull
Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3600 CL16
MSI RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 3X 8G OC LHR
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB
6GB Seagate HDD
EVGA 650BQ 650W PSU
ASUS VE278 27" monitor, Dell E2216HV (vertical)
Logitech Z533 2.1 Speakers, G935 7.1 or G435 headset
MS LXM-00001 keyboard
Razer Deathadder Elite, XBOX One Lunar Shift controller

I've come a long way from my original Core2Duo E6750 build y'all! :supz:
