XFX GeForce 7900 GS 480M Video Card Review

Post by Apoptosis »

Today NVIDIA announced the GeForce 7950GT and the GeForce 7900GS, but only the 7900GS is available for purchase right away. We have the retail XFX GeForce 7900GS 480M Extreme on hand and give it the usual review and compare it to a dozen other cards that are on the market from ATI and NVIDIA to see where you should spend your hard earned dollar. This card packs a mean punch for $199! Read on to find out what we mean.

Very nice card, well worth the money by the looks of it!

Now to wait for the retail scene to start selling them...

They've been on Newegg for nearly two weeks, so the retail channel is ready to go here in North America.

I want one so bad. I had my 6600GT for 30 days and the fan just got noisy as hell. This was supposed to be a temporary card, so I don't want to buy a Zalman for it. It's gonna drive me insane.

Great card. I have a 7800 GTX 256 and I love it. Nvidia seems to have their stuff together for now. Ofcourse, I'm a performance huzzy. I'll go with whatever card runs my favorite games the fastest.
