Computex 2007 - Corsair Has Working 2000MHz DDR3

Post by Apoptosis »

Yesterday, Corsair Memory showed off the world’s fastest production DDR3 memory rated at a blazing-fast 1,600MHz (PC3-12,800) and had a preview of the Corsair DOMINATOR memory kit running at 2,000MHz (PC3-16,000). LR just happened to be in the same building as Corsair when they sent out their press release, so we headed up to their suite here at Computex and show you the 2GHz memory kit Corsair has running

Would've been sweet to see some numbers working in dual channel mode. Did Corsair give you a projected price point?
Just a little puppy trying to make it in a big digital world.

2GHz modules? It's months away... No IC's can do it with stability as of yet... This was just a preview. As I mentioned in my review corsair is coming out with a JEDEC 1866MHz part first and then will be doing 2000MHz after that... These launches will take time and they will be spaced apart... Since corsair hasn't qualified or started to bin any parts for these you could imagine it will take a bit to get them into the market.

Thats true, I should have been more clear in what I was saying I just meant DDR3 in general will be forth comming quickly, but faster speed grades will come quickly after from the looks of things, but I suspect supply and demand will be the bigger issue as with performance DDR2 IC's have been and still are.
