I have the K8 Combo-Z with AGP. When the price of the 939 X2 decreases then I will be able to upgrade with out haveing to buy a new motherboard. I am running a AMD 64 2800+ at 2.21 Ghz. The only limitation is in the memory.

Running Asrock K8 Combo-Z. It wil take a 754 or 939 AMD 64.

DVD from a rental house are pressed. They are not -r or +r. -R are the most compatable. This is according to DVDHelp.

I have one that says -r only in the manual but plays +r and -R if the +r are in the upper price range (25 spindle for 49.99).

The one I want to use it on is at work. No net available only dialup when the gov enables it. Some times I need to transfer files between machines.

Does it test the PS under load? It doesn't look like it. That would be the real test. My Antec PS shows 12.1 V no load but 11.35 when running prime 95. All the other voltages drop some what (.2 to .4V) underload.

I had the same problem with a ATI 9200SE and a 9600XT. It only occured when it was overclocked to high. To solve the problem I changed the BIOS setting to 4X instead of 8X. Now I do not get the VPU when playing World of Warcraft or Doom3.

I would recomend a printer that has seperate color ink tanks i.e.Canon Pixma.

I have a NEC 3550A. I burn 8X Sony DVD-R and 8X HP DVD+R using DVD FAB, Shrink and Image maker. I have yet to get a coster and they play in a Playstation without a problem. I have a Coby DVD-207Which has no problems playing either one.

I have one intake and 3 exhaust fans. The intake blows directly on the HDD. A rear fan is locatedby the processor which has never gone above 45 C while running Prime95 for 24 hours. A fan in the 320W ps. ansd a side mounted fan in the area of the processor. Asrock K8 Combo-Z AMD 64 2800+ overclocked...

Anyone know of a software test for USB ports? The ones I have found require a hardware loopback device and software driven tests require you to give them some green to activate.

There comes a time when any solution tried doesn't work and this is that time . All solution sujested and driver downloads were tried without sucess. The driver donot work with mini and micro flashdrives for windows 98 and there is no present solution.

OK now that I know how to reply. I have been using AMD since 1988 as well as Cyrex and Intel and have allways liked AMD. I used to use motherboards that woul use any of the three major brand cpu just by changing jumpers. Befor that I used Heathkit, Sinclar, and a host of "computers TI 99A, etc)...

How do you know if you have the proper amount of replys?
