I ask only because by the end of this semester I plan on getting a decent not very top of hte line laptop that will play all the games I want tit ot play on m...

Question about x800 series and pixil shader 3.0
So why is it that a chipset supports 3.0 or doesn't, and what in the actually gpu dictates that? I ask this because Ihave my c3d x800gto thinking its a x800xt at 573mhz/1080mhz and its 16 pipes. However a F****ng 6600gt 128mb will beat me on 3dmark06 because of its nice love and ability to do 3.0. I...

I told him to get a new mobo, but I wanted to makesure thats the problem. I didnt' make that mistake though I bought the worst nf4 out there I think in th...

Thanks
It does support the northwoods it supports basically every known processor for that socket, so we're good in that department and it even has a decent cache size I learned from there. so now the only question is the video card. but I could post that in a new forum I guess.

Hadn't thought about the bottleneck problem, but I guess I should find the processor cash size I was thinking hte 9600xt cuz its half the price anyway, and I don't know how much he is willing to spend but we're going to make it a 2.49ghz northwood, 1gb of probably ddr 333mhz ram, a 9600xt, on that m...
