on the original bios I ran all 4 at 400mhz

on the original bios I ran the 4 sticks at 400mhz, but that may have been the problem. I would like to know if there is a way to get it running stable at 400mhz though.

4000+ san diego, the new core

also it is at 2t that I am not getting the normal 400, it is proven that in most games at high res that 2t and 1t don't make a very large increase in performance.

Chaintech VNF4 Ultra doesn't clock bios correctly

I updated my bios to fix a video card/gaming freeze that was ocurring. So I updated form v 1.0 to v 1.5 and now it games great, except in the process, my 2gigs of pc3200 (ddr 400 ram) magically became clocked at 333 and when clocked at 400 it would not start. What to do? try v 1.4? or whats your ide...

x800 gto from connect3d

I know the c3d x800 gto has good oc potential, I have one my self modded to 16pp and an overclock of 170mhz on the core to 570 and a overclock to 1100mhz on the memory is what I got using ati tool 25.10 beta. however before all of this and after I still can't run 3d mark 05 or ut2004, they both hang...

x800 xt pcie bios?

Do you think it would make a difference at all to use the xt bios? because most mod sites out there have done the mod with that bios not the merely unlocked bios off of techpowerup.com's bios archive. -dgood

reformatted and tried reflash, nothing

so I even reformatted to xp regular to see if it was a 64bit driver thing. so now I begin to wonder. I also reflashed my video card to the original bios, and still didn't help. The computer freezes and I can't get back to windows when playing ut2004 and also using 3dmark05. I do not understand. coul...

I used there bios for only unlocking the pipes, nothing else. So maybe I shoudl try the x800xt bios? or whats your thought? it is 2.0 I just rmember that 2.0 is rated for 1ghz and the smaller number is rated to go higher isn't it?

thanks for the opinion

I'll just try the dna driver and see how it runs and if it still hangs I'll see if I can get a longhorn beta or something. that would be sweet to run vista on this anyway. btw that was a thanks to everybody who posted anything on the topic. -dgood

423 core I believe, an dyou can check with ati tool.

I could check, yes it is a 423, and it oc's a little, not much, it only has 2.8 ram os only rated for 1ghz, I have mine slightly overclocked but the issues started before the oc. ( the hangs that is) the core doesn't overclock too well either least not with ati tool.

same as what I thought

However on the 423 core unlock, I know for a fact it works, go to techpowerup.com it is a liek 90% sucess rate and I believe the ones that failed were due to user ineptitude, not the card. and maybe less than 1% being the card. it tells you how to check it and do it all. -dgood

NO, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to :p

I didn't have 64bit drivers before I did it so I had to get them after so no I was hoping to avoid the flash back but I will if I need to. any other ideas before I try it, because quake 4 plays on 1600x1200 with 8x antianalysing no lag at all.

I have recieved error messages after rebooting, vpu recover didn't kick in as it did on my 9600 in the past, it just froze up. it said it was a driver error, but I find it hard to believe because both the 5.11 driver for x64 and the 5.11b beta drivers (5.12) have frozen. are there omega drivers for ...
