Re: New Setup!

They could always use angled connector blocks to keep the board design the same but have a nice fluid transition from the connector on the front to the back. That would allow the MB to keep the same design. It would drive up costs though so they would have to either sell the pack of connectors separ...

Re: New Setup!

The idea of connectors on the Mobo back should be a Patent consideration! :) I honestly never understood why they don't do this for motherboards. I think all the cases now a days have a compartment to hide cables in but you still have to loop them from the front. Maybe Apoptosis will see this and b...

Re: Full system load temps!

I never liked setting my rads as intake as I still think it causes excess heat inside the case on other components not in the water loops! I understand the reasoning as the air inside the case is probably warmer than the air outside so drawing hotter air over the rad will cause water temps to be hig...

Re: New Setup!

Looks nice to me! Sleeving some cables is about all you can do as there are no back connectors on boards to efficiently hide everything.

You should put a fake fish in the reservoir

Re: New Build?

Computer builds are never truly done (until you run out of money 8-[ )

Seems MSRP has gone up too. Shows $204.99 on Corsair - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categorie ... 9011212-WW

Re: New Setup!

OUCH! My phone always backs stuff up to google. Not sure if it does all the photos or not but I have a real camera for stuff we want to keep anyway. All of those photos go to the computer and get backed up to the NAS :supz: If you had your photos on an sdcard you could try a recovery program to get ...

Re: I need a short depth optical drive... Any suggestions?

You are right. I have been looking on and off but nothing has really impressed me with pricing other than some externals. Is what truly sux is the inability to play 4k uhd discs unless you have specific hardware and it seems Intel is removing SGX from future processors (Just what I have read while l...

Re: New Setup!

Ugh that is so frustrating!!! You think everything is in order and BAM one little thing is different than you are used to and screws it all up :(

Well you will get it up and running, just may take a bit longer is all.

.....plenty of time for that pink light upgrade for someone's computer....... O:)

Re: I need a short depth optical drive... Any suggestions?

Honestly I have not been looking but most people have been going with externals just to keep their cases smaller....at least from the VERY few I have built recently. I will take a gander around today when I have some time to see if I can find anything. Might be best to go with the laptop bluray and ...

Re: UPS Backup device

If you can wait, watch Best Buy for the Cyberpower sales. I picked one up for $130 - for the 1500va - not a huge savings but again, I am cheap :)

Re: UPS Backup device

The 2 very old APC units I have now seem like they need a new battery every year lately. Exactly what happened with all my APC units in the past. Tech support told me the controller board or something inside that tells it to charge, etc was bad and to replace it would cost almost the price of a new...

Re: UPS Backup device

I use Cyberpower mostly now. I used to use APC but I kept having problems with replacement batteries not holding charge (they told me the board was bad inside) so I went cheaper and am mostly satisfied. For power blinking on and off they work just fine. Compared to brand new APC units with the same ...
