Re: Case Mod-Fans
Image Resizer from Microsoft's PowerToys for Windows XP can also be pretty useful. I have graphic programs, but sometimes don't feel the desire to load a big app just to resize a picture before posting them to a forum or emailing them to someone. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoy...

Re: cars and repairs and moron designers/engineers
The GM plant my father-in-law worked at was shut down as they were preparing to switch over to another line. They couldn't figure out how to get the wiper assembly in the new vehicle. The tried one way, then another, and another... After hours they finally figured it out. It's about a 20 step proces...

Noctua always makes good stuff, even if the color scheme doesn't fit any. I was happy with their free swag I got from their site awhile back. Count me in!

Never under-estimate someone over the radio. (This is a transcript of an actual radio conversation between a US Naval ship and Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995.) US SHIP: Please divert your course 0.5 degrees to the South to avoid a collision. CANADIAN REPLY: Recomm...

I know CF-18 pilots have something to urinate in if they have to. It was brought to attention on a show because the female pilot said she couldn't use it so she had to wear adult diapers for long trips.

Re: tv to computer monitor
If I understand this right, you want to use the monitor as a second TV screen?
You'd have to buy a box which would run the monitor. I tried ADStech's site but it's crashing for me.
They might have what you're looking for.

Re: Dodge Challenger SRT-8 Test Drive
Allot of the people who're going to buy a $45,000 car, are actually going to be 50 years of age or older. They want a piece of their youth, but don't want to give up on creature comforts. The Corvette is simply... too damn hard to get in and out of. They're also going to want room to carry golf-club...

Re: Shelby GT500 versus Smart Fourtwo
I noticed that the Transport Canada is giving $2000 rebates (for people buying Smart cars). http://www.tc.gc.ca/programs/environment/ecotransport/2008ecoautoeligibility.htm When the four kids need to be transported, the minivan is perfect. But for me, either I need a vehicle just for myself, or the ...

Re: A billion in perspective......
Nice post. :) Just heard on the news GM is burning through $1 Billion a month in cash now. And OPEC just cut oil production by 1.5 billion barrels... I have no doubt that GM isn't doing well. But I would really have to see someone analyze their books before agreeing. They're in the business of maki...

Re: Somali officials grants foreign use of force against pirates
Being an engineer that works with aegis stuff, something inside me wants to refurb the new jersey and put an aegis system in it, some cruise missles and make those guns radar controlled :finga: probably be easier to just build a whole new ship though Didn't they recommision the USS Missouri? They w...

Re: 24 Pin extention?
I bought a 24-pin power supply extention cable from Canada Computers. It still wasn't long enough. But adding a splice from my Evercool GT365 gave me enough to do the job. It also keeps a couple of fans running for awhile once the system is turned off, so there's no temperature spike on shutdown. ht...

I really like this cube case. Can't afford to buy one, so I built one.
Just pulled my motherboard tray out to cut and access hole to the back of the CPU and now see I'm still
copying. Oh well if you can't beat them, join them I guess.

Yes. And the U.S. will back Iraq.Apoptosis wrote:think china would back Iran?
With China and the U.S.'s help, they can have a war until there's nothing left above ground,
while they've pumped out everything in-ground to pay for it.

I'm like others here, rebates are 'bonus' money. They're so damn unreliable it's pathetic. I hate rebates so much, I find myself offended by companies that offer them. Because it makes me think, 'Geez, here's another bunch of scam artists that I never want to do business with." To get my last r...
