Hmm...

I don't really know why you are upgrading if the sole purpose is for BF2... I used to have a 6600Gt before I got this 7600GS and I could run BF2 at a pretty high resolution, high detail (maybe max), and it was pretty lag free. Now the 7600GS, which I have now so that I can get a second and run silen...

Eeek

Service plans typicallly are terrible. I tend to stay away from them. Except for the rare case of the manufacturerers warranty coming at a big cut, and then only on notebooks. 3rd party warranties are a little bit worrisome.

Re: Ebay items worth it? Monitor Question also

Hi all, I've been looking at ebay for some items that I am thinking of buying, is ebay worth it? How often do you get something used from someone that is messed up? I know I can look at feedback about buying initially, but what if I have a problem with the purchase down the road? I'm really looking...

You F**K UP ebay....don't be a douche and do that.

eBay is one of the highest concentration of counterfeit parts so I'd be hesitant. Check on-line retailers first.

The red only appears if you're looking at the LCD at exteme angles. I don't have any issues when viewing the monitor properly or from usable angles. I don't know the low res issue you are mentioning b/c its not present here. The entire LCD is sharp (due to the high quality phillips panel - the same ...

Here's What I use

Well I know wireless mice are not ideal, and I do keep a wired optical mouse in my desk drawer, but I find that the new Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 is great. Its very comfortable to use and I can still maintain a KDR in Scoutknivez in CS:S. I like it, other's don't. I'd suggest givi...

Its sorta a wash. I think I'd go with eVGA if their products were identical and prices equivalent, however.

Dell 2005FPW 20.1" Widescreen LCD

I just recieved my new monitor a couple of weeks ago and did not see an existing thread about it so I figured you guys might like to know how it performs... Color Accuracy/Photographic Work: The color out-of-box was very close to accurate. After a quick color calibration the colors and brightness ar...

Um...

Not sure about that one. It works, but is it really worth it? The computer is hosed after you pour the oil in isn't it? It may be economical, but I'd rather lay $200 on water cooling so I don't destroy/eliminate all future use of my computer components. I guess it works for some people. Oh, well. Bu...

Monarch

Monarch Computer http://www.monarchcomputer.com is a great place to look for parts as well as having a custom system built. They beat Alienware, Falcon NW, ABS, and Voodoo on prices and I believe them to be one of the best vendors out there.

20 Widescreen

Actually good 20.1 Inch Widescreen LCDs are going for as low as $460 when dell is running their 20% off LCD sale. So keep an eye out.

Not sure about the case but of course I love the monitors and actual computer components. Have fun man. I'm very jealous of the dual LCDs I might have to get 'em myself.

Poor guy has no life, too much money, and might ruin his computer at those low temps. I don't understand why he was unhappy with Phase Cooling.

Okay

Thanks Dan,

I tried your suggestions and things may have sped up a little. The trick, however, seems that the Airport just needed a firmware update...sorta odd that it would stop working when the new firmware was released. Perhaps SP2 is at it again. Thanks again.
