I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. The only mention of hard disks was "2.3GB free space available on C:" and how I needed at least 16GB of free space... I could just convert it back to a basic disk. Then XP wouldnt see a problem. Miller time. http://mypkb.wordpress.com/2007/03/28/how-to-...

Thats the thing, the software in question is Windows XP, it started the whole thing. Thats why I want another source to confirm or deny.

Just so we're on the same page here. The RAID array that has errors, supposedly, is on the Intel RAID controller correct? Yes. AIDA64 Extreme was Everest Ultimate, or something like that. I had run Everest already and I bought the full AIDA64 Extreme. There are no tests to run but it pumps out a truckload of stuff. Looks like everything is there. "SMART information for RAID array member drives can be displayed for 3war...

Problem with Matrix or Windows?

In Windows XP SP3 Disk Management, my D drive shows as Online (with errors) and Healthy (at risk). It is now shows a dynamic disk, it was a basic disk. Two WD Caviar SE / SE16 250GB SATA disks in an Intel Matrix Storage RAID 1/RAID 0. The board is an Asus P5AD2 Deluxe, 925x chipset and Intel's 82801...
