I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. The only mention of hard disks was "2.3GB free space available on C:" and how I needed at least 16GB of free space... I could just convert it back to a basic disk. Then XP wouldnt see a problem. Miller time. http://mypkb.wordpress.com/2007/03/28/how-to-...

Thats the thing, the software in question is Windows XP, it started the whole thing. Thats why I want another source to confirm or deny.

Just so we're on the same page here. The RAID array that has errors, supposedly, is on the Intel RAID controller correct? Yes. I used HDTune and WD's LifeGuard diags, they cant see RAID drives from the OS, most of the categories were blank, SMART, drive size etc. HWiNFO32 drive model: Intel raid 0 volume drive revision: 0.1. device type: disk drive drive capacity: 32,765 bytes drive model: Intel raid 1 volume drive revision...
