well according to one site these are the cpus that will run on my laptop. I was gobsmacked when i got to the bottom and found that a quad core would run on this laptop.

Yep i dont think they have eather as like in my first post i upgraded from a intel T3100 1.9ghz. to a T3400 2.16ghz. and thats running great, no problems at all

@ wayne np I hope you get it all figured out. @ Major A, I believe it is a fairly new chipset by the number 40 strapped to it, So i would be pretty sure it should be able to handle any Core 2 type of CPU's as far as chipset is concerned. but did Samsung lock the BIOS only to handle that specific CP...

Hi ive just looked and phoned samsung fat lot of good they were. They said they could not give me that information as they dont have it. so does what cpu my laptop can handle without melting the motherboard.
