I hope AMD don't stop at 4x4, rather I look forward to them announcing 8x4. Could you imagine 2 quad cores and 4 gpus?!

counter
Here are ways AMD can counter Intel. 1) Significantly drop AM2 prices, by 1/4 to 1/2. (wishful thinking) 2) Engineer a whole new dual core cpu. 3) Move up Quad core production. They claim 4x4 is for enthusiast. There must be more of enthusiast, than mainstream, out there who can spend another 600-10...

sense
AMD using 2 dual cores to compete with Conroe single dual core? If thats what it take to compete with Conroe, then they really need to go back to the drawing board. Why spend another 600-1000 on another cpu, when I can just buy one? What happens when Intel goes quad core or pull the same thing? I am...

E3 previews--Future games
I don't know about you guys, but after E3 I am definitely looking forward to Crysis, Warhammer, and Halo 3.
I was also hoping to hear something about Diablo III, but nothing so far, not even a nod from Blizzard.

What do you have?
Just interested in what kind of cooling you have. I am looking into either swiftech's kits or Corsair Nautilus 500.

Thanks
Thanks for the reply. Since I have stock cooling, I think I will use AI overclocking feature so that it programs itself to overclock when it is needed. I just don't feel like buying another heatsink or watercooling kit. Too poor

P5WD2 Premium
I am using P5WD2 Premium. I think I found the answer to "Ratio Cmos Setting" on Legits Review of P5WD2 Premium. There is the picture of the bios page which I was refering to. It has to be the multiplier, because I ...

Asus AI Nos, AI Overclocking, and AI Booster
I was just wondering if anybody has used Asus AI Nos, AI Overclocking, and AI Booster extensively? Are these good overclocking utility or overclocking manually would be better? Any input would be great. ( I heard SYSTool is a better overclocking utility) My second question, is CPU Frequency (found i...

Asus forum
You might have already fixed it but, here is a couple of suggestions anyway. If you are putting the cdrom and hd onto one ide cable, make sure you set the cdrom to slave and hd to master. Use Intels Sata Controller first. Put the cdrom and/or hd to the BLUE IDE connector, it might work despite what ...

Oblivion
You might need to update your graphics cards in order to make oblivion decent looking. Try to get at least Nvidia's 7600 if its in your budget.

Explanation of OEM license
I am a little bit confuse on the OEM license change Microsoft made with all of its XP OS. So basically what it says that I am only allowed to install XP Pro once, and if I made any hardware changes i.e. motherboards, cpu or harddrive, or uninstall and reinstall XP Pro, it is considered a new compute...

Thanks for the input. on Asus (you have to go to P5WD2-E Premium page) and especially Gigabyte website, they are posting some boards that are supposed to be ready for conroe. AMD is also suppose to release more info on AM2 next week. I can't wait till someone do a sidebyside comparison betwn AM2 and...

Just paying tribute to the masters of this forum and websites. oh yeah, I am new and planning to building my second computer this summer. I have a dilemma as to what to do. I got my CoolerMaster CM Stacker case(not 830), but currently deciding whether to wait and buy conroe/AM2 and the new mobos. Or...
