Re: Corsair Flash Voyager GO 32GB micro-USB Flash Drive Revi

FYI: The list of OTG compatible devices is rather short, but you can get the Voyager Go to work on a number of Nexus and Motorola devices without OTG support if you use a third party application:

Re: XFX GeForce 9800 GX2 1GB GDDR3 Video Card Review

Yes they are grounds, it's simply because the current draw is very high and the 2 extra grounds help stabilize the load, something like that. One of my teachers explained it and it really made sense anyways :P Typically, that would be true. More conductors = less resistance and it also helps if the...

Ahhhhh, I can't believe I missed this deal to get a free power supply! I was already depressed on how I missed the last deal a year ago or so at RadioShack, now again! Dorgh! The deal gets "rotated." Just keep your eyes peeled at the usual suspects like Rat Shack, Fry's, Tigger, MicroCent...

PWM = pulse width modulation Yes, but it's done using various chips on an area of a board...........your link tells what it does! :D The PWM in a power supply essentially regulates the regulators regulating the output voltages. :D When we say "the PSU's PWM," we're often just talking abou...

It's cool. I don't try to hide the fact who I work for. I'm just not going to throw it out there for no reason. If I had it in my "about us" page, nobody would send me power supplies! Well... except for maybe Silverstone because those guys have known me since before I worked for Ultra and ...

I only know of one site that uses a SunMoon SM8800 for PSU testing and that is jonnyguru. I guess you can say he got that because his full time job is for Ultra Products and he needs it for work. He runs his site for fun & profit on the side and is an all around good guy. His site should be mor...

Ultra is really putting out some serious hardware but I bet this case will be expensive since it uses carbon fiber. Aside from that the case looks very slick. Yeah... it's expensive. I mean, I don't know what the production version costs, but I know the handmade samples were very expensive. And the...

I might have said this before, but A 2000W POWER SUPPLY DOES NOT PUT OUT 2000W OF POWER UNLESS IT HAS A 2000W LOAD! I keep hearing "this thing is going to trip breakers." Umm.... If this thing is loaded to the point where it's going to trip a breaker, than ANY OTHER POWER SUPPLY ON THE MAR...

I'm the self proclaimed schlub. ;) And I do agree it's overkill. An OC'd 4000+ w/ two 7800GTX's runs fine here w/ a 600W PSU in it, and the Quad Father with a pair of 8800GTS cards runs with a 700W just fine (but not a 600W I found out!) EDIT: Dude.. why don't you have a wink emoticon? LOL! EDIT II:...

Yeah I don't have proof but on black friday I saw a number of people walking out of Fry's with a discontinued ULTRA case/PSU combo that only did 8 amps on the 12v rail.... You don't have proof because you're incorrect. :) Ultra never has had any power supply at any price point with only 8A on the 1...

No dig, butyou guys know we've been using these in rackmounts for years, right? ;) I guess it takes Cooler Master slapping their name on one to make it a "modding accessory." :D I have to admit the price is right. I used to typically pay $10 to $15 each for such a card from Supermicro. Coo...

The batteries in UPS's are sealed lead acid and do not have a "memory" like NiCd's do.

They have long shelf lives and do not need to be discharged when stored. They can be constantly topped off without risk of degrading the battery.

I'd say that "wow, that's one small PSU............... The thing people don't usually notice is that it's a DC to DC power supply. Not an AC to DC power supply. Not that's it's not small, but it's a 12V input and all it's doing is regulating the 12V and stepping down the 12V to 5V, 3.3...

Ok. Today's another day and I had a chance to really read the article. I loved the part where you questioned why you were even doing all of this in the first place. :) I think it's a great little article myself. So many PSU reviewers don't take price and "value" into consideration. Primari...

85's are the norm. Higher temp rated caps are used to ensure long life and can be used in positions of poor ventilation. I still don't think the inside of the PSU would ever get over 85C even in spots with no air cooling, covered with wires, etc. but it's good peace of mind. The primary caps are the...

There's no profit in memory anymore!

Yet there's oodles of PSU OEM's looking for someone in the US to distribute their product.
