could the fact that I don't have a hard drive attached to the system be my problem? I was getting 3 beeps, and then i realized I had the RIMMs installed in the wrong slots so I moved them to RIMM1 and RIMM2 and the beep code went away. i'm not exactly sure I understand you. the power supply i am using has the 20 pin power connector as well as the 4 pin P4 connector. the connector it doesn't have is the 6 pin AUX power connector that is listed as ITEM K on page 14 of the product manual as seen here: ftp://download.intel.com/support...

I just bought a NIB D850GB on ebay and am having problems getting it to boot up. I am using a P4 1.4ghz CPU that was tested and working. The RAM doesn't seem to be the problem.
