Re: Some achievements on the folding team!

I just wish the local co-op would fix whatever keeps causing my power to flash about once every day or 2.

Congrats Team!!

Re: confused

Spare CPU cycles are any computing power your computer "makes" but doesn't use. For instance, if you computer runs 24/7, but you are only using 1-2% of CPU Usage, the remaining 98-99% would be spare CPU cycles. When gaming, surfing the web, creating a spreadsheet, etc... your CPU usage wil...

Re: State of Our Folding

I need to take my foot off the gas once again. I should be able to keep at least on card going 24/7. I am trying to get my electric bill under $125. i just upped my 401k contribution from 8% to 15% so money is going to be a bit tighter. I figure buy in while the stocks are cheap, so a few years fro...

Re: State of Our Folding

BTW Iceman, waiting for the Server room pics, hows it coming? sidelined... as with everything else in my life for the last month or so. I'm trying to keep the rigs running, but I haven't spent an hour total on the computer in the last month probably. I see that my average has tanked over the last f...

Re: Official Milestone Thread

Yep... big week of milestones ahead. If this week holds true to the last 3, I won't be on the computer much, so Congrats to all on your new/upcoming milestones. I'll get everyone individually when I can get back on my PC.

DC... if you haven't already, you might want to get some u-channel along those edges where the cables come through.

I can't wait to get my new case (rebuilt Antec 900) so I can do a photo shoot... though at this point, it's pretty far down the list of things to get done.

Re: Conflicker Scanner

I've decided to pull my computers off the internet and sleep through this virus just like the Y2K bug. Hell, I haven't checked email from a pc for the last 3 weeks anyway ( I <3 my Blackberry ), so aside from a few Folding work units, I won't miss much.

4850x2 was able to drop around 4k per unit in testing on Vista with 1 client running. I understand that in XP you can run 2 clients.

Re: Earth Hour

As soon as I saw the title of the post, I said "awww, crap", so you can likely guess whether or not I participated. Maybe I'll kill all the computers tonight while I sleep... of course, then it will be so quiet I won't be able to sleep in here and will likely get up and turn on the TV for ...

EVGA Precision is written by Underwriter (same guy who makes RivaTuner) it's just the layman's version of the application.
Guess I need to stay on top of new versions a little better. Thanks for the info!

There's no way I'm aware of to overclock 2 video cards with Precision. Care to elaborate?
