Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated thank-you. I tried 'Housecall' in the end (I'm sure you know what this is) and it seems to have done the trick, however it has disappeared/reappeared before so I'm not counting my chickens. It found 12 problems, one of which was 'gtpbx.dll' in System32...

Please help...I'm in despair!
Hello, I downloaded something but the install/setup cunningly installed another program without my knowledge. This 'program' is like an anti virus software alert which sits in my toolbar, flashes and pops up bubbles every 2 minutes, telling me I have critical system errors and viruses (Nonsense). Wh...

Thanks for all your advice, I like your thinking Mike - a sledgehammer would do the job! Anyway, I reinstalled SonicStage and even though the PC acknowledges connection, the program doesn't detect anything - Maybe I need a different version of software so I'll try that. But I still don't get the pop...

Hi Dan - Thanks for your help, No, I never installed the software before I plugged in the MD as I didn't recieve the software with the player and wondered if I needed the software at all to transfer data to the MD. Have you built a D975XBX system?
If so, maybe you can help a wannabe geek out > It says in the manual: "Remove the primary PCI Express video card before installing or upgrading memory to avoid interference with the memory retention mechanism" Can someone explain the procedure for building a PC with this in mind? Do I just...

It's OK, I'm not going to overclock it as I've read that long term it will damage the processor. I read the D975XBX manual and it says that when installing memory, remove any device in primary PCIE. As I'm building from scratch, and my graphics is PCI express, and I need the graphics card plugged in...

Hi Aspro, http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-014753.htm It supports what pointreyes said about using the board to transfer audio. The board also has an ATAPI connector which I believe is an optional alternative.? I'm in the exact same position as you (arched back in front of PC)...
