What you don't know is that all of the Guinness brewed around the world is made from a concentrate shipped outta James Gate! Actually I did know that, that's why it tastes watered down to an extent. Around here you have some bars that are particular about the stock they have of guinness to the wher...

Re: Great Rev Ap!

Have you been to the St. James brewery? :drinkers: I heard it tastes different there(Guinness). Yep......I used to work there! I loved that job.......... :drinkers: The best pint(s) I ever had was there! It's not the same place anymore though, they have a new tourist centre which is all modern........

Re: Great Rev Ap!

Hey Ap, Great review :finga: Otherwise, I am slightly concerned about the answer he gave you about 2.4 x .05 EVP threshold...In fact I don't think many DDR2 boards will last the test of time by throwing 2.5 VDIMM at them(i.e. 975BX, but you have to mod that out)although AMD boards might go the dist...

CPU speed is default at 2.4GHz and RAM speed at 2-2-2-6. I believe that there is some CPU bottlenecking but I still need to confirm that with a faster system. I think with a Conroe CPU we will see framerates on all tests go up because it is really much more powerful than the current test system. We...

Question:

What were the CPU and RAM speeds used on the 4800+?
It's possible that either one could be bottle-necking the card(s).

is it just me or has this thread gone off topic? Not only are we not talking about the overclocking abilities of the AM2 X2 4200 but we arent even talking about AMD anymore lol Just cause Conroes better then current AMD architecture doesnt mean all the Intel fanboys need to come in here and try and...

FTR, Nobody has even seen an AB revision of that board; not to mention that the board to have for Conroe would be of the DFI Lanparty variety. Also, considering that this is an AMD thread, talking of it will yield no bounty here. considering it was just announced on Monday it is expected to take a ...

I just looked at newegg and they are selling the Foxconn 975X7AA-8EKRS2H motherboard for $169.99 after rebate and it DOES NOT support conroe. Only the Foxconn 975X7A B -8EKRS2H motherboard does.... So you're pricing isn't right. actually it's now 159.99 (199.99 - 10.00 instant and $30 MIR) ;p as no...

Part two has been posted: http://legitreviews.com/article/374/1/ I never said the CPU has 100% stable and I'm not trying to mislead anyone. I just thought it would be fun to get a processor and overclock it on air and water to see what it can do. Part two talks about the stability in the conclusion...

Ummm

I am sorry to point out the obvious, but I don't feel that you can say that machine is comfortable, much less stable at 3Ghz; without dual priming for no less than 8hrs. Just because it runs 1 instance of SuperPi, or an instance of PC/3D mark without crashing; is not indicative of across the board s...
