You wanted a good mobo, I say go with 680i mobo, you can support the 8800 videocard. Like EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR which go about $250 and great for overclocking and for memory I go with OCZ or Corsair

Did you overclock the CPU? Because I think that lil higher for idle, usually it at round the mid 30*C to high 30* because my other system is AMD 4400+ x2 (939s) and at idle is 37*C (room temp is 75*F) with the Zalman 9500 room the same heatsink as you.

That look like great system that is on a budget, and a lot upgrade for the future. You said that you be getting sound card later. I recommend getting the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS, it not $$$ as the X-Fi card but, it still kickass. Remember the Audigy2 ZS was the best soundcard.
