Re: ASUS TF300T 32GB Tablet

I was going to make the same recommendation with the Nexus 10 (Nexus 7 has Tegra 3, but isn't a 10" tablet), but I figured you were picking this one for some Android gaming. It sounds like even though Nexus is probably our best 10" tablet, for gaming this one might be a better choice espec...

Re: DIY All-in-One

I read the article.

I love the mini-iTX format. I'd still like it attached to the monitor and with a single plug to the outlet if possible.

Has anyone seen this?

Re: DIY All-in-One

cut a hole in your kitchen countertop and mount it underneath so you can use it for recipes/video watching/etc while cooking. I think this is one of the coolest things i have ever seen, especially if you like to cook a lot. It isn't real easy to do if you have granite countertops or even some of th...

Re: DIY All-in-One

I've been shopping out the mini-itx machines. They would be a perfect option if I could really find a way to make sure it's invisible, but I think the VESA mounted computer is the best idea I've heard. I'm going to really start looking into my options.

Re: DIY All-in-One

Bottom line: it isn't going to happen. Even if you bought an AIO with a discrete GPU you can't buy a "laptop" GPU anywhere to my knowledge. If you want to get it out of the way, so to speak, then look for VESA cases where you can build your own rig and mount it on the back of the monitor....

Re: DIY All-in-One

I think I've seen the current offerings although I'll go searching again. I'm not interested in the ability to upgrade CPU, Mem, HDD. That's basically a given. I'm looking for upgradeable graphics (which can extend the life of your PC by years) My current desktop is a C2D and has had 3 graphics upgr...

DIY All-in-One

Hello LegitReviews, I haven't built a new computer in over 5 years (which is about 5 times longer than my previous average). My wife hates my full tower computer even though my lighting is subtle and my fans are quiet and my cables are very well routed. She thinks my next computer should be an iMac ...

Is this for sale? I might try this on a whitebox notebook my brother bought from me.

Will this affect the performance of existing cards? (read: Will my Folding PPD go up on my GTS 250?)

Re: Apple iPhone 4 Unboxing One Day Early!

There have been rumors online of the phone dropping service when you hold it on the antenna bar and also that some of the retina displays have a yellowish line. Any sign of the yellowing or reproducability of the service drop? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ixIHyEPO5g at about 49s you can see the b...

Re: Old School LR

Hey, I actually had heard of the ultimate boot cd, never heard it called the ultimate blood cd. I'll try a drive manufacturer test. The power supply testers are basically crap as they can't place a constant, measurable load and don't measure voltage oscillation. I just purchased a new PSU to try, bu...

Re: Old School LR

Yeah, As I'm moving into the market again for a new computer I was hoping maybe to just have a peek at the opinions of some guys I trust. I'll go ahead and throw out my computer problem in case anyone has had a similar problem: My PC is about 5 years old, some parts have been upgraded, but I haven't...

Old School LR

Nate, I remember a long time ago (Probably 5+ years at this point) Legit used to keep a relatively up to date system build for 3 price points. Is there anyone still doing such a thing with links to components and stuff? I'm totally comfortable doing all the research myself, but occasionally I feel l...

Re: I want an HD PVR

So all of these build-your-own PVR guides and sites are either recording just basic cable and OTA HD? I looked into building a cablecard box a year ago when there was absolutely no way the companies would allow you to use a cable card in unapproved hardware

I want an HD PVR

So here's the deal. I have a computer with a TV tuner able to receive and record HD signals that are free over-the-air. What I want is the ability to have a PVR attached to my HD cable box. I don't want to buy someone else's product, so Tivo is out as well as other commercial options. Is there some ...
