Clean dust out of your computer

I hadnt cleaned my computer in 3 months. I opened it up outside and was greeted with a load of dust. I took out the leaf blower and it just took everything off in 10 sec. Everything works fine now. Its just like a big can of compressed air. You guys should try it. I made sure to start far away then ...

Fan controller

Any suggestions on a fan controller for at least 3 fans? I also have a question on how they work. Lets say I have a fan that goes 5000 rpm. If i hook it up and turn the knob on high, will it go a full 5000 rpm? and if i turn it all the way down, how slow will it go? Do any fan controllers actually t...

Lapping Sandpaper

Would 600G sandpaper alone be sufficient enough for lapping a P4?

Lapping Zalman

I have decided to lap my zalman 7000A CU cooler, but if you own one you know that you cant set it down on sandpaper because there are 2 ridges that keep the flat area of the heatsink from touching the level sandpaper. How would you go about doing this?

Power Supply-help!

I have a cheap 350W PS (one fan) for my 2.8 Prescott that was bundled with my case, adn I am looking for a new one. I think 350 is a bit low, and I was going to upgrade to about 450-500W with 2 fans. A few questions - What will a better PS with more fans do in the subject of tempertaures, performanc...

Getting DVI signal on a VGA monitor

Is it possible to buy an adapter like http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=1309 and create a DVI signal into my monitor, which doesnt come with any DVI port? My LCD only has a VGA port, and My next vid card will probably have a DVI port on it. So if I buy the adapter and put it on my vid car...

I know you guys favor non silent coolers with high churing fans, but what do you guys think of the 7000A-Cu quiet cooler by zalman? Is it good compared to the some of the other comparable non silent coolers or is it just one of the better/best silent coolers?
