Re: Z77 board recommendations?

Mason, you'll be happy (I think...) to see I've settled on a ASUS P8Z77-V LE, a Sapphire 7970 OC vid card (hey it's only money!) and an i-5 3570K CPU. I'll know in a week or so how it all comes together.

Z77 board recommendations?

Well it's time for a new build. I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the Z77 boards. Right now, I'm thinking I'm either going with an i-5 3550 or the i-7 3770. I've never OC'd anything so that is not a priority for me. I'm also planning on a 7950 or 7970 video card, 16GB of RAM (1600MHZ), and ...

Re: Wireless router recommendations

A quick update. I went with the Buffalo Nfiniti WZR-HP-G300NH. Pretty easy setup....Once I figured out it did not like my Firefox browser. I could not access any of the setup controls until I used I.E. Great coverage for my 1800 Sq ft home, back / front yard, and garage. I haven't really run any def...

Wireless router recommendations

I just bought my first laptop so..... It's time to set up my first wireless connection at home. I checked but did not see much discussion as to what wireless routers are best these days (other than one mention of the Cicso Valet). I'd appreciate any thoughts/recommendations. I'd like to keep my cost...

Re: Need help getting off the fence...

I bit the bullet and bought the Vapor-X. I'm VERY happy with it. It runs cool and quiet (especially quiet after the 4870 it replaced!), runs everything I've thrown at it at high reso without a hiccup. Now that you can actually find them to buy, I think you'd be happy you spent at bit more for the qu...

Re: Where Are The Radeon HD 5800 Series Video Cards?

I am STILL amazed   I was able to grab that Sapphire Vapor-X. From what I've seen, you have about a 10 minute window to grab any of the 5870 cards that show up on the 'egg! AND before the price increase... I'm usually not quite that lucky.

BTW....It's an awesome card :supz:

Only 50
That is AMAZING!
BTW it's running GREAT. <30C at idle and I haven't seen it more than 52C in games so far.

SOOOOOOOOO much quieter and cooler than my 4870 card.
Now I have to update my sig with new computer stats!
