Re: Help finding adapter that goes between side fan and mobo
Looked at the reviews and one guy says: I hope everyone reads this and other review and makes sure they are trying to hook two power connectors to one fan, rather than two fans to one power connector. It will not do the latter. But the next item in that search you did looks like it does what I want,...

Re: Help finding adapter that goes between side fan and mobo
Yes, that might work! I noticed that the one end for the mobo looks different, I'd have to make sure I have a spare power connector like that. BTW, I just noticed that you are a staff writer. Thanks for all the effort you and your co-workers put into the articles and comparisons! Not to mention help...

Re: Help finding adapter that goes between side fan and mobo
If you mean something like a fan extension cable Newegg.com has a bunch of them here . Though they are male-female... Are you looking for the cables that connect to the motherboard or directly to a 4pin molex(PSU)? Thanks for quick reply, and I would need an extra fan power cable to accomplish this...

Help finding adapter that goes between side fan and mobo
My friend's new PC case came with several little adapters that I assume were female-female and served the purpose of being in between the side fan and the mobo. This way, when you need to open the case, you don't have to reach into the mobo to disconnect the side fan power cables. He was going to gi...

Re: Talking about 3D glasses
A few developers have been experimenting with making the PS# output 120hz so you can use 3d glasses with them. Rumor is that the PS4 may have this as a standard feature, but it seems like you would have to buy an expensive new screen to use it.

Re: Charter Implementing New Cable Download Caps For All Users
I'm actually on the same AT&T plan as Pengwin, and it costs me 73 dollars a month. However, last Fall I read a news story about how AT&T was considering starting download limit caps, too. I wrote to them to complain of course, and I haven't heard anything else about it. Anyone else?

Re: Is there a video converter to 360 format?
I would highly recommend a program called PlayOn, it's about 30 bucks. Runs on ur PC and allows you stream hulu/youtube/netflix etc. over ur network to the 360/ps3. I have it and it's great!

Re: LOL!! @ Firefox mem leak
When you have Flash running on a web page, even when the video is not playing, it takes up a big amount of RAM. So if you're concerned about browser mem usuage, try to minimize the pages you keep open with Flash.

Re: New InGame Crysis Screenshots *56k Warning*
Well I've heard rumors that Crysis is coming to PS3 and will look as good as it possibly can, so you could pretty much get a PS3 for the price of new graphics card. Although you'd need an HDTV too of course. By the way if you like Crysis, check out the new PS3 exclusive called Haze, the visual style...

Re: New engines from Id and Croteam
I'm still skeptical about the new Id engine. I know that Carmack is usually an honest guy, but I'm taking a wait and see approach. There may very well be some sort of development problems with this new way of storing textures.

I have the same model notebook with a Geforce 7800, not a GTX or anything. I have wished that I could simply upgrade, so I am curious as to what you are trying to do in removing your card?

I've seen a number of very feature packed PDAs from HP. You may also wanna consider which PDAs your wireless carrier officially supports so you can reliably get email and web access.

Re: Squealing Sound from PC
I've actually had strange sounds from my old power supply at one point. Its not difficult to replace a power supply because there are no drivers involved. However it means you have to redo all the power wire connections, so either memorize them or have someone help you. Also, get the highest wattage...

I usually use pricegrabber.com to at least research new hardware. That site and newegg usually have lots of good reviews, and pricegrabber even links to professional reviews for thousands of products. Try it out.

This goes out to all of my peoples.....
Hi y'all. I really like this site and maybe I can contribute a few tips to my peoples. I've built a number of PCs, but had to sell my old monster to buy a lappy for my new job. Maybe in a few years when I make some bling I'll buy a bunch of legit reviewing hardware and slap together a new desktop be...
