My Dell laptop came with Windows XP Media Center edition, and I'm quite happy with it.

As for your specs, I don't think there'd be too much problems (I'm sure the 2.4GHz processor could handle recording TV (playback isn't an issue).

If this would work with an AOpen 1557GLS barebones, then I'm in. :)

(It uses a 1.4GHz Pentium-M chip now (the original ones with 1MB L2 cache onboard).

Wednesday news from around the web (5/11/05)

Got a lot of news to post, so here we go. :) TrustedReviews is first on the list with a review of Ricoh's Caplio R1V digital camera. Once again you beat me to it. A busy schedule has made it hard for me to catch up on this, but I'll be sure to do better (not fair for you to do all the work).

Once I wake up tomorrow, I'll update this list (as long as deadly-app doesn't beat me to the punch.

I would definately have to agree on this fact -- at first I didn't like it, but now I've gotten used to it.

Plus in the forums, we can easily seperate the links into vaious categories -- that usually doesn't happen when links are on the front page.

Thanks to doing the news, I've REALLY learned how beneficial a wide-screen display is. :) Thanks for the compliments. I've enjoyed doing this so far. As for a picture, I really need to get a "good" picture of myself. I'll try to get my brother to snap a pic in the next few days (even thoug...

I didn't notice the text on the bottom until AFTER the music started playing (that is, reference to the "Numa Numa" guy).

Should have known it was related to that whole Dragoste Din Tei song. :(

I do have to ask though -- how small is TOO small? I have a Sony Ericsson T610 and it's definately the smallest I'd want a phone -- any smaller and the keys would be impossible to press without misdialing all the time.

Thank goodness I've got a good pair of headphones and my MP3 jukebox (or laptop). If people next to me on the plane want to yell into their cell phones, I'll just crank up the tunes to drown them out (hopefully they aren't TOO loud though -- I don't want to have the tunes blaring so loud as to damag...
