Re: TV Tuner cards for PCs?

That is weird. I remember when I had mine (again, years ago) I got better reception on the computer than I did on my tv from an antenna! Everything i read is Hauppauge is a godly company that will make everything better for everyone as long as you go with their high end models. If you buy the lowly...

Re: TV Tuner cards for PCs?

Part of the reason I asked is because he only picks up 4 or 5 chs with tuner card but if he connects the antenna directly to his TV he picks up 20+ chs! Looking for a better Tuner! Apparently the Hauppage tuners are not sensitive enough! Like you guys I was into multi tuner setups several yrs ago! I...

TV Tuner cards for PCs?

The question is.... Are there any Tuner cards or other options for TV capture that are better than Hauppage? Specifically the 2250 and/or 1600! I have both and gave them to a friend to setup a cord cutting PC and the reception is crap at best! They worked pretty good for me(30+ chs), not so much for...

Re: Lighting project!

So instead of inside, I could put them outside the sunroom.....no outlet on that side of the house except IN the sunroom though....hmmmm Brain is working.... Yeah that could be a problem! I had a friend come over and spend about 5 or 6hrs setting all this up! He tied i...

Re: Lighting project!

Nice. Are they just on the rain gutters? I wanted to do something like that in our sunroom with using clear PVC pipe for curtain rods but the heat would not be good in the enclosed area of the pipe  They are weather proof LED strips! They're encased in a silicon rubber material with double s...

Re: MicroSD cards for phones

Sandisk. I have used Sandisk in everything and have had the least problems with them compared to any other brand I tried (or even a non-brand cheapo thing). Good prices when they are on sale! - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/camera-memory-cards-usb-drives/micro-sd-sdhc-sdxc/pcmcat748300453560.c?id=pc...

I’m GTA-AMD Fan Girl! I like stability and dislike overclock because I have one HP Pavilion i7-6700HQ for GTA&WORK and have to obtain a good education. I’m new to the enthusiast community and ask to walk me through it all.
Thanks

Re: New Custom Water Cooled Loop

Bummer. Must be some kind of leak. A drop of water is enough. My system is running without maintenance and leaking for 7 years now but I did extensive trials for leakage before firing up the system. Sorry for your loss. Hopefully it's just the MOBO ](*,) Did you try putting water towels everywhere,...

Re: Network demands for mulitiple streaming devices

Yes, I have zero confidence in the reliability of wifi. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works today, and not tomorrow. There is no true substitution for wires when it comes to reliability. JMO Not worth a lot. :) YES YES YES - THANK YOU!!!! For years I keep saying wifi is NOT...

Re: Fractal Meshify S2

Full tower baby!!! now how loud is it when you load it up with all the water cooling and fans you can  With the right fans and set to low speed, I bet its pretty quiet! :) Now if you're gaming and have them running full on it probably sounds like a small jet coming in for a landing! ...

Optical drive prices????

I know I'm kind of a dinosaur but, I like my Optical drives! Whether they are DVD or BD! Being an ASUS fan, I was buying new DVD drives as low as $12.99 earlier this year! In the last few months I have not seen a drive less than $15 and most are $17! Yes that's on sale! Regular price is $22-$24. Eve...
