Re: 3 Day Project!

Shock it and OVER chlorinate it! One of the best things my friend in New York told me to do with the pool when the wife got it, as we were having the green problems. We have 2 floaters in our 24' pool that are filled with chlorine tablets. We also keep 1 tablet in the top skimmer. After doing that,...

Re: 3 Day Project!

LOL good man! We pay $180 for a 5000 gallon truck per load. They can't get a full semi back our road so we have to do the baby trucks. Oh one other thing I heard is that in some areas the fire company will fill pools for really cheap or for donations....never hurts to inquire as you could save more...

Re: 3 Day Project!

should be starting the 3 or 4 day fill on Sunday evening! It is cheaper to pay for a water truck to bring water around here than using the house water (where they have city water)! We have a well at our house and there is no way to fill a pool from that without taking months lol I think we need a b...

Re: 3 Day Project!

Good job so far. Looks awesome. Shame to have to cover those beautiful bricks. The Bricklayers are artists when it comes to what we see here. Your father and brother in law did an amazing job with the brick laying. I to love the spiral columns. Cant wait to see the pool filled with water and bricks...

Re: 3 Day Project!

Nice! Wife has a Coleman 22' or 24' pool LOL Here in Pennsylvania if you have an in-ground pool it raises your taxes a lot because they consider it a permanent edition but an above ground pool doesn't do anything since it is temporary......although you could fill the in-ground pool in with dirt.......

3 Day Project!

So I've spent the last 3 days working on rehabbing the pool, along with several other people! IMHO, it turned out pretty good! :) 4 or 5 day cure time and we can start filling it up! :( No, this is not at my house. My wife and I own the house, but rent it to her brother and his family! No, its not d...

Re: In hospital

at least your healing well. as if the restrictions from covid wasn't bad enough  Most all of our restrictions here in the USA have been lifted. No masks needed if you have the shot (they don't check anyway), can gather in large crowds, almost back to normal....until the cases spike again (hop...

Re: In hospital

3d print of your gall bladder? i'll pass thanks  i have never had a hernia thankfully. a friend of mine did when we was at work. he tried to move a 50kg truck clutch onto the carry plate but it slipped and he tried to catch it and pop. the sudden scream was enough to send shivers down my spine...

Re: In hospital

I am home and healing slowly. Lots of pain but it took like 2-3x as long to do mine cause it was huge and necrotic. Had to slice open at my belly button a good bit to get it out! Gonna see if i can get some pictures of it or a 3d image that I can 3d print :) Sleep...need so much sleep..... :yikes: ...

Re: Need some help - USB 3.1 and 3.0 ports only givng 500mA - SOLVED

SOLVED - Lovely Windows 10 and it's security crap strikes again. Had to go in to the privacy settings and make sure the camera is allowed for apps to access. Seriously, this was the problem. I am guessing most desktops have this disabled because they don't have webcams built in or maybe i disabled ...

Re: Lighting project!

Still no squirrels! Thanking the dog for this!
The power supply survived, the controller and light strings were trashed!
Put up new lights and a new controller today!
A little surprised, the new lights cost less than originals! $20 compared to $30 for originals!

Re: Lighting project!

The squirrels are gone! They built a nest in the attic and had babies. BUT, my daughters dog has chased them off! He caught one or two of them a few times, so I guess they thought twice about coming back! In fact I have not seen a squirrel in more than a week! I think the dog freaked out a bit, I do...

Re: Lighting project!

Lighting project update:  Apparently squirrels got into my attic and chewed through some of the wires for the LED lights! Had to order a new set of lights, they destroyed the old ones! Yep, I have a guy putting double thick half inch chicken wire on all vent openings! Feeling lucky that's all ...

Re: Need some help - USB 3.1 and 3.0 ports only givng 500mA

Yes, I tried on my laptop but did not work. It is an old Dell Studio XPS 1645 so I thought it only had USB 2.0 ports and would not work. I did not give Gigabyte an email but I shall do that today. The scanner does work when I use my cell phone with it hooked to a portable battery pack so I know the...

Re: Need some help - USB 3.1 and 3.0 ports only givng 500mA

Don't know much(anything) about the scanner sooo.. I'm guessing it does not work at all!? A simple questions, have you tried using another PC/Laptop?(Make sure the scanner is not the issue) The initial video I watched the guy connected to a Laptop, hard to believe it would put out more power than a ...
