The updated test suite should be alright. Aquamark is not as synthetic as 3DMark. We are still using 3DMark because of it's popularity. 3DMark2001 is alright for benchmarking purposes but 2003 is filled with disputes(don't no who to blame, nVidia or 3DMark). So I'll say just do it but don't rely on ...

Would it be 100W, nice round number for a mobile cpu.

No...I'm joking, have to be less than that otherwise there won't be any battery life, just run off DC

Holy grail of Laptops:Sager 8790(Prescott+M9700)

I never though notebook gpu's will come to the standard of 9700np, but they will in Jan 2004. http://sagerforums.com/showthread.php?t=9961 Battery life won't be more than 2 hours but who will buy a uber laptop like this if they're concerend about battery life. Also it's heavy as well. But who cares,...

Damn, why do AMD shut off their potential customers(overclockers) when they're in debt?

Many will now move to P4 2.6c

What are the improved features of the K8T800 Pro compared with K8T800?

I think in the nForce3 250, they're gonna include native SATA supprot, maybe 8 USB 2.0 ports compared with 6 in the nF3 150. Will they have soundstorm?

Anyway hope both chipsets have the AGP/PCI lock & unlocked multipliers?

Yeah Apoptosis, the Abit K8V-MAX 3 would've been a great board as well. These A64 mobos are not that overclockable due to the VIA K8T800 & nForce3 150 chipsets. nForce3 150 can lock the AGP/PCI bus but can't use the unlocked multipliers of the A64. K8T800 can unlock the multipliers but can't loc...

Thats great Apoptosis, thanx for that Ask MS whether their XP Pro for Athlon64 is designed only for A64 cpu's or for both A64 & possible future (Yamhill Project) Intel cpu's. Surely MS won't completely redesign an OS in order to satisfy a cpu manufacturer that has 20-25% of the market. There has...

Wonder when A64 laptops with M9600 from other brands arrive here in AUS.

This thing will do more than your average work, M9600 Pro will certainly let you play HL-2 better than FX5650 Go
