Thanks for the comments. I knew about the hyperthreading in i3, but not Quick Sync. Already read the review of the FX-4100 here but was curious because some of the specs look so awesome and some say it outperforms its benchmarks. But would probably be happier with an i3 for the same price. my curren...

FX-4100 or G840 for non gaming Photoshop type rig
My system is about 4 years old (except for the ssd boot drive) and I would like to upgrade a bit. I don't game at all and the most intensive thing I use is Photoshop and video editing on Vegas. Which would be a better system cpu- amd's FX-4100 or intel's G840? Or is an i3 worth the extra $50?
