This is my last Intel board as well.
I've had to go back to the XBX (from XBX2) because of hardware issues. I'm also tired of trying to find memory that will keep this board reliable. I don't know who or what kind of tests they use but it sure isn't working. This will most likely be my last Intel board.

Well, Just received a response from Intel on my motherboard. They now want me to perform another two tests: 1. Try booting the motherboard with only basic components connected (processor and power supply; no system memory or video card). 2. Test my system outside of the chassis. Please place your mo...

My D975XBX2 died today.
Well, after a couple of BSODs (and never overclocked), my motherboard finally decided not boot up. These are the symtoms I ran into. 1. No live screen 2. Performed some power diagnostics and everything checked good. 3. Made sure RAM was matched ans seated correctly. 4. Checked to make sure CPU was i...

Well, Vista x64 has finally drove me off the cliff. I decided to pull my two drives containing Vista apps and decided to put in a new HD and reinstall XP/Pro. I'm just going to pkg the other HDs and reinstall them in my machine when more Vista x64 drivers are available and MS has fixed some its prob...

I have the same problem with 2 Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision - unavailable on Power Up, but works ok if I reboot. This is known problem with Logitech's software. Unfortunately, Logitech won't admit it. I have to unplug/reinsert it to get the motherbard to see it again. I've had to remove a couple o...

I installed Vista a few months ago (If you haven't done it...wait!!!) and immediately had driver problems with my X1900 XTX 512. So I've been trying each of the beta's/releases as they've come out including 7.4. The reason I'm here at this forum right now is because I just had ANOTHER Crash. I have...

Re: Intel Desktop Control Center V3.0 for Vista/32 posted
Get it here. I'm getting pretty tired of them not releasing Vista 64-bit compatible software. You'd think a company like Intel, who advertises 64-bit , should be able to release compatible software! Sean Sean, I know the feeling. Did you ask them if they plan to put out a 64bit version? Does Intel'...

New! Catalyst 7.4 Drivers released on 18 Apr 07.
Just saw ATI's website and it had the new Catalyst 7.4 Software/Drivers. Anyone taken the leap and updated their stuff? I know many like me had problems with 7.3 and went back to 7.2. Description: The Catalyst™ software suite 7.4 contains the following: * Radeon® display driver 8.36 * Multimedia ...

Well, I tried booting up my computer and started getting a wide selection of BODs. Cache, IRQ, Memory, etc. I just don't know what is going on now with my XBX2. I'm tempted to pull my spare drive and reload XP on it until I can figure out what's going on. I'm thinking about reloading Vista X32 inste...

Anyone try performing a BIOS update on a Vista 32/64 machine? I'm still using version 2634 but haven't really been able to find a solution that's easy to follow. Guess I could always reinstall a 1.44 floppy. What a lousy way to perform an update. :( http://forums.legitreviews.com/viewtopic.php?t=88...

what software did you use to burn the image to the CD-R? I use ISO Recorder . Works great and it's free. I'm running it under Vista 64-bit just fine. Sean Sean, Burned the ISO image onto a CD-R thanks to that utility you mentioned. Everything updated without any problems. :) I plan to send the make...

Vladi, It can't be true. I have a printer/scanner combo that stays off if I don't use it (mainly most of the time). I also have a Logitech MX1000 (wireless mouse/keyboard combo) and that is all. This morning a did a cold reboot and the camera was present in the device manager. When I did a reboot, t...
