It turns out that my old ASUS A8V Deluxe mobo has a 1.5 v AGP 4x 8x video slot. The nVidia 7600 GT card I bought is .8 v (consistant with AGP 3.0), so I bought a BFG 7800 GTX card that is 1.5 v (actually AGP 2.0 compliant). Now everything loads up fine...except the nVidia control panel will not load...

Embarassed I will RMA it and get a new card. Sure the new card will work just fine, I now have confidence.

I have the latest and (hopefully) greatest deivers from nVisia...and a huge list of resolutions to choose from, but none in that aspect ratio. They seem to be focused on the 4:3 ratio....perhaps its the XFX card, but I doubt it. I think its a driver issue.

I am trying to get my new nVidia 7600 GT card to display 1680 x 105 (WUXGA+) to a wide screen HP monitor...this is not a native resolution for this card.. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. So far, I have not heard from nVidia...of course the email just went out tonight! My fault for not checki...
