975DX2 Audio & Vista SP1
I just installed Vista SP1 and when it rebooted I lost the Intel Audio Center and controls. Has anyone else experience the same issue or know if the Intel Audio is compatible with SP1?

Re: LED good, still doesn't respond
... Configure SATA as - IDE S.M.A.R.T. - enable ... I'm curious, why do you have the SATA drive running as IDE? This maxes the speed out at UDMA4 or UDMA5 and disables NCQ .... (according to the info provided in Intel Desktop Utilities) ACL Just noticed this reply and I am wondering what should the...

Discovered today that turning the system off, but leaving the power on to the PSU results in a normal boot speed. Normally I turn of the computer, monitor, and other items through a power strip. If I reboot in this way, the boot take a long time hanging between the Intel screen and the appearence of...

Bios Load Order
As some may remember I have made several post about the slow load, on a cold start, of the OS on my D975XBX2. I have solved the first part of the problem where the Intel Boot screen would load and the Post codes in the lower right side of the screen took a long time to cyce through. However I am sti...

I download and installed the new bios, and they seemed to install OK, the machine restarted after the install, I changed the bios setting to turn off th...

Having just built a new system and installing Vista Ultimate, I would say WAIT. Just about everything I do I have some small issue and have to spend extra time to solve. It gets solved, but with a lot of extra effort. As an example I tried to load Qucken, which was supposed to be compatible. System ...

D975XBX2 Slow First Boot
Ihave seen bits and pieces about this but I wonder if some one could help. My system takes 2m 07s to start to the Vista start load screen. From the time I hit the start button till I see the Intel Boot screen is 12 secs. It then sits on the Intel screen with an EB code in the lower right side for 1m...

As previously reported this update did not fix the PS2 Keyboard detect issue. Also I have a long first boot issue which is still there. When I first start from an off condition, I get the Intel screen quickly, then the screen goes black and stays that way for ~45 seconds, then the small post codes s...

USB Keyboard
Has anyone confirmed the an USB connected keyboard makes the problem go away. If that's a workaround I may just buy one, although you would think intel would make it work, they have for years.
