OK, connected to sata 7 and 8 and used ctrl-j and all popped up fine. Thanks anyway.

I am building a new PC using an ABIT AB9 PRO and a core duo. Have a pair of samsung 250GB SATA disks plugged into SATA 1 and 2 on the board.
