I doubt that the motherboard killed the processor. Just return it to the store, get another.

actually I had the opposite reaction Linksys Support is great. They are very informative I have a laptop from 98 and I figured that I might as well put it to good use. I went and bought a wireless adapter for it (WMP54GS). Long story short, I tried everything, nothing worked. I got a hold of tech s...

the 100/1000mbs doesn't matter as thats just the "limit" that that particular bus can handle. Right now, even the fastest home cable companies only have speeds *up to* 15mbs. So, even if you had a gigabit compatible modem and router, it wouldn't make a speed difference. The only time that ...

Sure you got the right driver? For me, linksys pci adapters were always a bit screwy although their routers were the best. I don't know why it wouldn't work. What OS you on? progrip PS: Don't bother talking to the linksys tech support. They're all from india and don't know very much - google will se...

Try goint through the checklist in the manual for the board. It has a full step-by-step guide to finding what the problem is.

EDIT: Just looked through my manual - it's not there, my mistake. Its actually a poster-type paper that comes in the box, if you bought it retail.

I don't think you have to change it then because it must already be enabled because you used AHCI as your install setting. Don't worry about what it says in the device manager - you know what they say? If it aint broken, don't fix it. Believe me, I have fucked around with enough stuff on my computer...

4 just means that the windows driver is disabled. It was like that on mine also. Just change it to 0, reboot, go to bios, put sata as ahci, go to windows. Easy as that.

There could be a short associated with the screws used to hold the mobo to inside of case. I used the wrong screws one time included with case and I couldn't get comp to start, the power would short out immediately. Electricity can do weird things with computers. One time I was measuring with a meta...

Try them in another comp to make sure its the mobo and not the fans.

If that doesnt work and its the mobo that's the problem, I would just buy better (name brand) fans.

I used to get that a lot with my old comp I had before this build. I would just turn my router & comp on an the same time and it came right on. With the bx2 I don't have this issue. I log in on vista, takes about 1-3 seconds for full internet.
