Re: NEED HELP, Windows 7 Internet Problems - Wi-fi
I called Asus and did a few tests over the phone, and apparently due to how hot my computer gets at times it seems the NIC card might be totally burnt out, the notebook is still under warranty so I think ill be able to have it repaired. The outputs greatly appreciated though, otherwise I would have ...

Re: NEED HELP, Windows 7 Internet Problems - Wi-fi
Kenc I restarted the WLAN config, but for the DHCP it doesn't have a restart option, only a "start" one. I clicked that and it said: "Windows could not start the DHCP client service on local computer. Error 5: Access is denied", might that be my problem?

NEED HELP, Windows 7 Internet Problems - Wi-fi
Ive come across this trouble only today, and I find it ridiculous that no where on the internet I can find a solution. I turned on my laptop, and I connected to the same Router I always connect to, and its been running perfectly for 6 months now. When I connect, it acts like its connecting, then jus...

Re: Recommendations for Webcam and Graphics Tablet?
As far as the webcam goes, I'm probably no help. But I do have information about 2 tablets that would satisfy her needs. Obviously you've probably heard of the blackberry playbook, and though I do have friends who say the software is still a bit buggy, there definitely the best bang for your buck if...

Re: Future Build
Yeah as far as cache goes I think I'll be fine with the i5, and RAM capacity isn't a priority for me, more towards raw power for a fairly inexpensive price, so 8 should be fine. Hopefully both the i5 and i7 will drop in price, depending on which drops more I'll probably make my decision, because wit...

Re: Future Build
When will it be out? Chances are if its a new series it'll probably be fairly expensive though, and Ill most likely build it within 2 months or so. And yeah about the memory I was originally going to go with 8 but would 12 have any significant advantages?

Re: Intel i7 Notebook Processor? 2.4ghz+
Yeah I have made a build without keyboard and screen, it came in around $1288 and this was the ideal for me. I'm sure i could knock off probably 300 from it, and it'll be perfect. I recently sold my garbage Macbook Air In November of 2011 to have enough for the Asus, with about $200 more as a Christ...

Hey!
Hey guys, this is my first time on a posting website. I'm a huge PC gamer, a mouse and keyboard is all I use now. I'd love any advice on building/parts/maintenance as I'm fairly new in the whole upgrading computers area. Seems like a lot of well informed people here, and I'm hoping to learn a lot. C...

Re: Intel i7 Notebook Processor? 2.4ghz+
Ahhh that's very true, I just assumed off the bat that it was my CPU because when recording with Fraps the frame rates got unbearable. I do have a GTX 560m (2gb DDR5), but your probably right, its not performing as well as it used too, and even then it wasn't great; the laptop itself is not even 3 m...

Wondering what I should buy to make my games run smoother (currently very choppy, BF3: all options on low, AA post turned off and aniso. at 1x, 20 fps at Native Res. ...
