Why a 32 bit os? Overclocking the Core i7 950 is fairly easy task. First what type of cooler are you using for your rig? Intel i7 950 safe overclocking?

I have an Intel i7 950, with an Intel DX58SO motherboard, XFX HD 6870 1Gb, 6Gb Kingston HyperX tri-channel memory, 2 2Tb Samsung HDs. I know now is an old system and it's showing its age, but I want to overclock it safely, so if anyone can point me out in the right direction, apparently it supports ...

Well, that's really unusual, the motherboard indeed has another fan connector, and the AGP card is the one I just upgraded from my other system ... so it's working perfectly ... There are only two fan headers and one is for the CPU, the other is for the internal fan, BTW the CPU fan is working fine ...
