Re: Fan speed..
CMcguire: Noticed the same thing with my Scythe S-Flex SFF21E , which was rated at 1200 RPM. I had it attached to a Molex connector, but the BIOS said it was runnling slower like yours. IMHO, it was super quiet but I couldn't feel the air that it was suppose to be pushing. Bought a couple of Scythe ...

Matt: I hope the 'fix' helps; Looks like you've spent enough time trouble shooting. I've e-mailed Intel on more than one occation and have asked them to include troubles that we have found, on their 'know issues' web page, but Intel doesn't want to hear it. Are you really running 3 video cards (high...

I have to give credit for DaSickNinja for spending weeks on his review. I am not critizing DaSickNinja , nor his review. I do think people are misinterputing what the best TIM is. 1. I would like to see an expanded time interval measurement from '0 hours' to '2 hour'; the reason is because it looks ...

I've had a problem with their BIOS. Seems to me the Marvell controller is an orphan within it's BIOS settings. I think Intel knows this but doesn't want to publicize it because Marvell and Intel do alot of business together - If you look at Intel's latest chipset (P35), they have gotten rid of the M...

mickrussom: Thanks for the warning about BIOS 2745. I too have exchanged e-mail with Intel and it's pretty sad. My case was about the Marvell controller...but that's another story. From what I've read on this forum, it seems phone support is a lot better than Intel's e-mail support (if you can call ...

Thank you guys. I didn't want to add any extra software to the new computer, so I always used the BIOS temp reading. kenc51....Using 'Core Temp', it read 'Tjunction' of 85 degress C, and 'Core #0/1' of 43 degrees C. The software read both cores, is small and removable after use. If I had tried 'Core...

High CPU temp with a Xeon 3060 (E6600) and Intel BX2 in BIOS
Can someone take the temp of their CPU using BIOS ? My temp readings were higher than 60C in BIOS, and that's the computer in idle with the stock Intel HSF (fan speed of 2600 RPM). I replaced the stock Intel HSF, with a Noctua NH-U12F and Scythe S-Flex SFF21F (1200 RPM) fan, and my BIOS temp reading...

Hi ubiquityman: In BIOS under 'POWER, ACPI SUSPEND STATE', I'm using <S1 STATE>, and I'm not having any trouble with my SATA DVD drive that's connected to the Marvell controller. I see your property windows; but in my computer under 'Details', my Device Manager does not show the heading 'Power State...
