New motherboard recommendation thread

I am assembling a computer and I would like your recommendation. Stability and reliability are the two pre-reqs, I am looking for the most common predictable board, with no extras, no overclocking, nothing fancy just good old fashioned day to day service life. The computer will be mainly used to dow...

Re: Help me Geforce 7600, Game trouble AMD/ASUS

I was able to get the temps DOWN on the Mother board's chipset by setting the DRAM timing to (5-5-5-18 @ 1.8v). But games STILL close randomly, unexpectedly without warning. Even though now I can touch the chips (any chip) while the application is running and- although fairly hot, it is not nearly a...

Gamers... Help me PICK A MONITOR (20" / 22" LCD) !!!!

My friend JUST bought a new video card and it DOESNT SUPPORT the 1440x900 Resolution for his 19" Widescreen monitor. That means, I guess, he needs to buy a monitor with the resolution that is supported by the adapter (video card) RIGHT?! (Is there any way I can add 1440x900 as a resolution to the ex...

Oh, you are saying boot from the Vista CD and install/restore from there? Will I have to download all the device drivers for the computer from Dell? probably.
