Dell D/Port replicator - anyone get the network card to work

Hi, I have a Dell D610 notebook and the D/Port `advanced' port replicator. When I use my wired lan connection that is attached to the laptop, it works fine. The D/Port comes with a RJ45 port that ought to be usable when docked. When docking my Laptop, however, the internal wired network card gets di...

Re: What SATA Cable End Would You Rather Own?

most of the time 90 degree ones, however with the 4-in-3 or 5-in-3 cages I use a lot, I prefer straight connectors, since the angled ones will not fit.

Re: HD problem - Lost capacity

I have seen a tool that is able to resize the HDD on the firmware level, but I am not sure which one it was. I know that it was one of the HDD manufacturer's tools, like Seatools, WD Drive Diagnostics or PowMax.

Re: What is the best way to store files?

I am not entirely sure what you mean by ``store files''. If you are concerned about losing data due to user error or software issues, a good backup strategy can do wonders. For the home user, a cheap option would be one or preferably more external drives, which are only connected to the PC and Power...

Excellent choice. I have heard many good things about it. Aside from that, I think you'll have a hard time finding anything in the sub $200 range that has both PCIe and at least 4 SATA ports.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am running an almost identical (e6300, ds3, gskill ram, 7900gt) setup and I am seeing the same problem. I have the latest (f10) BIOS.

edit: setting the PCI speed to 101 in the bios appears to fix this.
