Re: CRUDE-OIL FUTURES HIT NEW HIGH AT $119.74 A BARREL

I actually believe the wholesale price of crude oil isn't whats the driving force of gasoline prices. I've read that its really the refining process. I've read that the U.S refineries can produce about 9Million barrels of gas a day, and U.S. drivers consume 10Million. Now that seems like easy supply...

Since you are going to fire it up again. Could you do a comparison of ambient heat inside the case at different fan speed settings? :)

IRON MAN

Just saw the movie yesterday and I must say its the best adaptation to film of a classic comic so far. If you haven't seen it yet be sure to stay until the end of credits.

Re: Raptor or Caviar?

The real question is what type of content and type of transactions the data on the drive will do for you. If your are only looking for data storage go with the Caviar line, you'll get more bytes for the buck. If your running applications where speed is really the "noticeable" issue get the...

Re: More DDR3 Bench Marks

Interesting. From the same forum they posted this review. I haven't used this brand, anyone have any hands-on knowledge? They seem to under/overclock much better.

Modules Break Out

I'm currently running 2GB (2x1GB) of Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5 (DDR2-1066/PC2-8500) on a Asus P5N32 E SLI and I want to increase to 4GB of RAM. Is it better to just get another match pair, or order a 4GB kit (2x2GB)? Is there a performance difference between 2 vs 4 if all other specifics are equal?

Re: The Q6600 Overclocking Thread

Bad news here. When I installed my TR U-120 Extreme I had no post with the Xeon X3220. It was running fine in the BX2. I tried an E6320 and my old E6600 in the same motherboard and they work fine. I tried resetting the CMOS and removing the battery etc. Something happened to my X3220. RMA I 'spose....

Re: The Q6600 Overclocking Thread

I read that there are limits with overclocking Q6600 for 680i chipsets. There is a 400FSB wall for this chipset (I'm not sure about the Intel chipsets). Only if you an 'unlocked' quad multi can you get past 3.2GHz. Has anyone heard differently?

Re: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 Overclocking

Apoptosis Do you think the regular retail production CPUs will have the same range of OCing (notices that an Engineering Sample chip). What has been the usual OC percentage increase on C2Ds (under air) in your experience. I've been thinking of upgrading to this chip and wondered has there been any r...

Forgive this question if you've answered it many times before, but for gaming purposes is better to have a higher BUS SPEED or Multiplier?

Thanks for all the info guys. I've purchased the following equipment, but I think I made a mistake on the RAM. Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll wait for April 22 for the cpu prices. I've purchased a few server systems with SAS drives, they are fast and small. Anyone has real world experience with running multiplier games with drives in the 10,000-15,000 rpm range? Is it worth it or overkill?

Thanks

I am thinking of building a new gaming pc. I have budget of $3000.00. The games I play are FPS, usually Quake 4, Counter Strike Source, eventually Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. These games should be multi-thread for multi-core in the near future. I already have these components: 1. Antec 900 Case 2. ...
