May have to actually boot into safe mode and remove video drivers or such. Altho sometimes you can get lucky and it work without safe mode.

Glad I just bought my Seagate 320gig sata3.0 HD before they got maxtor. At least I don't have to worry about whether my HD is a rebadged maxtor or not.

Never heard of em but I hate to see any business go under. If I had heard of em before I would have probably bought something of course I am a newegg junkie so they would had to been cheap.

I for one think your are drawing too many invalid conclusions from your tests. If you think TSOP is better then why not use one of the TSOP HyperX modules instead of the BGA and see what differences it makes. I think only BGA is available in the ECC Registered modules BUT tht even stresses the point...
