Re: Dual monitors

If you are in clone mode, meaning you have the same image displayed on both monitors you will not take a performance hit. If you have a different image or application one each screen then you will.

Re: Control Panel not opening up.

If that driver is giving you problems try using the new NVIDIA beta driver. Also keep in mind the driver release notes state that at times it could take up to a few minutes for the NVIDIA control panel to respond after the driver install.

Re: Temperatures on XFX 8800 GTS 320mb

These cards do run hot and are dependent on case air flow. Try removing your system case cover and see if the temps drop. If so you may want to look into providing better air flow for your system to get lower temps.

Re: Horrible gaming performance with 8800 ultra xt, need help pl

Usually a low performance with the high end 8 series cards is due to either a underpowered or failing PSU (We all learned this the hard when when the 8 series cards first launched) or sometimes drivers. I recommend testing with the other games like you have talked about. Make sure when testing you d...

Thanks for the replies, As for SLI'ing anything, i seriously doubt that. You need 2 identical GPU's for SLI, so you can't SLI a 6600 and a 7900, that simply wouldn't work no way, slower clocks or not. Solinari is correct, in order to SLI two video cards they must have the same GPU. Its also best to...

It sounds like you are on the right track. If you have tried each card in each slot with no luck in the second PCI-E 16 slot then it may be the motherboard. I would contact Asus and look for any additional troubleshooting tips or possibly an RMA number. I know on some of the A8N boards you have to f...

I knew when we launched our new modder friendly warranty I would see customers do some strange things with their video cards, but I wasnt expecting the experiments to involve a BBQ. Once again nice job thinking outside the box and delivering an interesting read!!

After running some benchmarks I found the 7600GT to run much faster then the 8500GT. If I had to pick between these two for gaming reasons, I would go with the 7600GT. I recommend you look into the 8600GT as this will outperfom the 7600GT, is DirectX 10 compatible and will not break your wallet. XFX...
