Re: LR Makeover
There were also lawsuits and trademark issues last year with the site, so last year was the most costly of the sites history. Gotta pay to play, but I'll be honest... There were one or two nights last year were I almost sold the site to other companies that wanted to acquire it. I just can't let it...

Re: HGST Touro Mobile Pro 500GB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive
Why would I pay $59 a year for 250GB when I can spend a little more and get unlimited storage on netload, uploaded, etc...? The whole cloud can dry up as far as I'm concerned. I don't feel comfortable with personal files/info floating around somewhere that can be hacked.

Rather than edit and mess with the original post so the links are lost I'll add another one. Here's another example of my old @$$ Eee PC.

Add OEM Info To Any Windows Build
I know most of you build your own computers or build for friends/family/clients. Here's an easy way to add custom OEM information. I was looking for an app to do this with Windows 8 and ran across this app that also works with 7/Vista/XP. http://stormpoopersmith.com/software/oem-brander/ Here's an e...

Bubba mentioned in a post that he bought something like a dozen drives for work and a quarter of those were DOA.

Re: HDDs all Junk now?
I imagine it's all luck of the draw. Generally the only people who write reviews are pissed off or think the product shoots rainbows. The average user/satisfied customers generally don't write reviews. Keep in mind too that most reviews on Newegg are posted by clueless people (just read their review...

Re: Google Chromecast Review – Easy Wireless Streaming
I want one, but I don't know why. It's kind of a novel piece of hardware but freaking cool at the same time. For a few dollars more you can turn your TV into an Android device (example). Decisions decisions.

Re: Intel Chipset Device Software Aggravations
If you look at the two drivers I updated manually (did about 10 all together) you see that they have the WHQL signature. If you download updated AMD chipset drivers and there's a new driver it will update the software. I guess I have an archaic view of chipset drivers from the VIA days of fighting w...

Re: XBox One Console or PC? Take a look inside!
Biggest downfall for pc gaming is the high-end. We can all thank 4K TVs for hopefully changing this. At some point in the near future 4K TVs are going to become as mainstream as current 1080P TVs. This is going to force the game developers to make better looking games and in turn that should (hopef...

Re: Cooler Master N400 Case Review - Lots of Features For $5
Cable management stinks but for $50 it's hard to complain. Looks like a pretty good case for the money, then again I'm a less-is-more guy when it comes to case exteriors.

Re: Google Nexus 7 Second Generation 2013 Tablet Review
I'm an Andriod user and have played with iOS a bunch and each have their pros and cons. I like the "openness" of Android and the simplicity of iOS. What I don't like about Android is the fragmentation of devices. Like you said some games/apps work and some don't. This kind of relates to th...

Re: SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps – Ready for Development
Sweet! More speed is always a good thing. I've never heard someone say that their computer is too fast. Like you said FZ1 this might be the end of Thunderbolt. Seems like I read somewhere that some motherboard manufacturers have already said that USB 3.0 is good enough and a lot cheaper to implement.

Intel Chipset Device Software Aggravations
As most of you know in this subforum that you need to install the Intel Chipset Device Software after you build a computer or format the hard drive. The software is a package of drivers that tells the Intel hardware how to work. This is all fine and great the first time you install the software afte...

Re: Google Nexus 7 Second Generation 2013 Tablet Review
My sister wants a tablet and for the last 3 months I kept telling her to wait. Now I'm glad I did. Every review I've seen confirms that this tablet is superior in every way (to the old Nexus 7 that is). Thanks for the review and I'll pass it on to her.

Re: Need a new chair
If you use the armrests at all you will hate the needforseatus chair. I've had a few like that at work and they suck. It's easier to keep leather/pleather clean but the cloth seats tend to breathe better. If I were you I'd head over to a local Office Depot/furniture store and actually sit in the cha...

Black and orange aren't the best complementary colors. 2) Chipset fans. Every board I've owned with a chipset fan it ...
