Thanks that solidifies it. I'll pick up one of these later this week. Anything has to be better than what I have now.

Next time pop the keys out of the keyboard and use Q-Tips and rubbing alcohol.

Re: Which To Buy Logitech G3 or Logitech G5?
How is the scroll wheel on the MX518? Precision wise is it accurate? How about the click on the mouse wheel? Every FPS I play the scroll wheel click is my reload and a nice precise wheel can mean the difference between a different gun and something you don't want.

A different forum is telling me to pass on the laser mice and pick up a MX518. Thoughts?

Which To Buy Logitech G3 or Logitech G5?
My current mouse is a big POS and needs to be replaced. I've never owned a "gaming" mouse and have narrowed my decision down to the G3 or the G5. Which one would you buy and why?
I know Razer makes good mice but I'm not interested. I also do not want a wireless mouse.

Re: dont build this one
That is an OEM motherboard. It looks cheap and plain jane. I said eMachines because they a smaller builder than Dell/HP etc...so they might stick a mATX in an ATX case. If this was real why would the owner know how to hook up the front audio and USB connections but couldn't figure out how to mount t...

I'd get this case for my HTPC but it's mATX. I need too many slots to use a mATX board.

Re: Cutting Fan Holes (How to?)
Another hole saw vote here. Make sure you pick up a bimetal saw and not something else. Don't lube the saw up too much or you might cause a fire. If you have access to a drill press you are in business otherwise you'll have to man handle the piece you are working with.

"I build my own computers..." Funny cause that looks like an eMachines or some other POS. I agree with the thermal paste. They could've at least wiped that off before they shamelessly plugged their site.

Re: Windows XP SP3 Beta
Well from what I've read Microsoft said it's a beta for a beta. I didn't see anything new, it just seems that most post SP2 hotfixes are included in the package. There is no IE7 or WMP11 included in the package and that seemed strange. http://www.megagames.com/news/html/software/pre-betaxpsp3andvist...

Windows XP SP3 Beta
I got the SP3 earlier and installed it on my "throw away box" just to see if anything substantial was updated like in SP2. So far I haven't noticed any difference over SP2 except that most of the updates/hotfixes seem to be included in the SP. I normally wouldn't include a torrent link to ...

You do realize this will void the warranty? Seems kind of counter productive since you probably bought the Dell for the warranty.

Re: Hidden Object, Rootkit
Download Ultimate Boot CD and run some of the AV programs that are on the disk. If the computer is infected and can't be cleaned in Windows this should take care of it since UBCD is DOS based.

What does this LED switch do? Is it to "pimp your ride" while the computer is off? Is it used for diagnostics?

Depending on what OC you settle on and the amount of other peripherals you might be pushing the selected PSU to it's limits.
