Re: 2012 Budget Mini-ITX Desktop PC System Build Guide

nope, you don't have it all wrong. Just keep in mind that any processor you are buying has been screened to run at the advertised specs... We all know that Intel makes only a couple different wafers and then bins the chips and assigns part numbers after that. The 3220T and the 3220 are cut from the...

Re: 2012 Budget Mini-ITX Desktop PC System Build Guide

I believe your CPU choice is ill founded and poorly researched. I have done my best on the net and my conclusions are i3220t will in real life usage save you at best a few measly cents in energy per day. In exchange the power loss results in passmark CPU are i3220 T 4080 for the i33220 4800. Moving...

Re: IGPU Power consumption

Pretty sure on the 2550k, Intel lasered (as is their usual method) the on-die GPU connections so it ends up drawing no power at all since the circuit to it is broken. But you are right that it is still on the chip wasting space. Thanks and I agree , yet Intel quotes the same TDP for the i52500 and ...

IGPU Power consumption

A while back I tried to find out how many watts on cpu graphics used. Best answers were along the lines of "not much and less when using a discrete graphics card". I now note the i3 products ending in "P" have no graphics and a 7w less power draw. Also many mother boards now offe...

Re: IGPU power consumption

Well it's built into the processor, so there is no way to really tell what just the GPU uses. That is why you don't see this number out there any place as it is not given by Intel and there it no way to find it out on our own. Thank you, yet the IGPU voltage can be set externally and although "...

IGPU power consumption

Does anyone know what power they need ? I have had quite a long hunt on the net and have found answers like "not a lot" , "about the same as a nvid 520" and I've found power consumption figures for the total system on IGPU enabled rigs. I also note m/board options to increase IGP...
