Re: Google Nexus 7 Second Generation 2013 Tablet Review

I'm really surprised they did not add support for memory cards. It's something that the non-Apple devices always tout over the Apple devices so you kind of expect it. That was the one thing I wished it had when I had it and I'd love it for the iPad. That's mainly because this is a Google device, th...

Re: Google Nexus 7 Second Generation 2013 Tablet Review

I guess maybe I'm too used to iOS but it seemed overly complex to me and some apps are only compatible with certain devices or versions of the OS. You say Android is too complex (I have no clue why), while us Android users say iOS is too dumbed down for granny to use. 8) As for app incompatibility,...

Re: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card Review

Think my son is ready for an upgrade, he's still running an 8800GTS from when they first came out (was my card, then his). So he would inherit my 560Ti. Ha, my family computer has (well had) my old 8800GT. Was a great card, served it's purpose well. Unfortunately the fan started to whine and the ca...

Re: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card Review

Not too bad, looks like it would be a nice upgrade to my "old" 560Ti...might have to wait to get a 4GB card though...or use the eVGA step-up program...decisions...decisions... All benchmarks I've seen have shown the 4GB version to mostly be a useless edition. The 760 doesn't have enough p...

Re: ASUS RT-AC66U 802.11ac Wireless-AC1750 Router Review

I'd be very interested in finding out how much traffic you have on your router channel. I thought about this as well at first. However I use a app called Wifi Analyzer on my smartphone. There are about 15 different routers in my area on the 2.4 Ghz bandwidth spread out fairly evenly on different ch...

Re: ASUS RT-AC66U 802.11ac Wireless-AC1750 Router Review

Thanks for the reply. Yea I've found that 5Ghz drops the range quite a bit, and when using Wireless AC over 5Ghz it drops even further to where I can barely use it a few rooms over, making wireless AC mostly useless if you're not near the router (20-25 feet at best). When using Wireless N on 2.4 Ghz...

Re: ASUS RT-AC66U 802.11ac Wireless-AC1750 Router Review

Did you test out the range of this router? I didn't see it mentioned in the review. I've been able to test a few AC routers out from different companies via Newegg's Eggxpert program and they all have range issues while using Wireless AC and/or using the 5Ghz bandwidth, Wireless N on 2.4 Ghz gives a...

Re: AMD A10-6800K and A10-6700 Richland APU Reviews

Except for the integrated graphics performance, I'm disappointed in AMD's latest chip yet again. AMD hasn't given Intel any competition in years, and this is still the case. I wish they would become competitive again and start another price war. Deliver a win-win for the consumers.

Re: Intel LANFest SoCal 2013 – Local Gaming & Fun

I applaud these people for packing up their computers for a road trip. Most of the time I can't be bothered to turn mine off, unhook all the connections and walk 25 feet to the garage to blow out the dust. I know what you mean! If I was working on someone else's computer I wouldn't mind it. But my ...

Re: Intel GT3 Graphics in Haswell - Twice as Fast as Ivy Bri

I hope the new CPU's will allow Ultrabooks to finally be used as "gaming" laptops. The current performance is rather terrible even on low, unless you pay hundreds extra for a $50 upgraded GPU from Nvidia/AMD. :(

Re: Corsair CX430M Modular Power Supply Review

Interesting product. I however from past experience learned never to buy certain "budget friendly" components. The two biggest ones being #1 the PSU, and #2 the motherboard. This review (for better or worst) hasn't changed that, and I doubt any review could. "You get what you pay for&...

Re: ASUS Vivobook S500CA 15.6 inch Ultrabook Review

I was looking at a few Ultrabooks and this was one of them, but I'm curious to know how the Intel HD Graphics 4000 handles games. I'm not expecting to run Crysis 3 at max detail, but I'd still love to be able to play an occasional game or two. (Battlefield 3, League of Legends, etc). Some of the oth...

Nice to know thanks! If I decide to get one down the road (Probably get a Mechanical Razer keyboard instead) that's the first thing I'd do with the keyboard! Warranty isn't too big a deal as Logitech is normally good on quality!

Re: Biostar TZ77XE3 Motherboard Giveaway

#1 thing I look for in a new motherboard is its price vs design ratio. I don't need all these fancy features that I'd probably never use. I just need the best motherboard with plenty of ports that supports the latest standards (USB 3.0, SATA 3, etc) to plug my variety of hardware into. But I also wo...

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB Smartphone Review - AT&T 4G LT

Due for a phone upgrade in Oct. and this is probably what I'll be getting. Without getting too deep, why in the hell are there international and US versions of phones? On paper the international version of the S III and One X are superior to the US versions. The US carriers want their new phones to...

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB Smartphone Review - AT&T 4G LT

I went into the store on Friday to check out the GS3 and the HTC One X and ended up buying the One X over the GS3. While both phones are GREAT, and you can't really go wrong with either, I personally felt the One X was superior. While the GS3 has more features built into the phone (detect if your lo...
