Okay, I'm retarded. I had the Folding@Home program running the whole time. I turned it off and now am down to 50C and 47C idle. I'm sure thats good enough for what I need.

But now that I have regular temps, is there any way to get it down a little more? Or is that about as low as its gonna hit?

Orthos is running right now. I'll let you know the results when it finishes.


Okay, after an hour of stress testing I reached around 38C as my load temp.

I don't really understand it though because I wasn't getting much higher temps before and yet it was still shutting down.

D975Xbx2 - Lowering CPU Voltage

I currently have an Intel D975Xbx2 Motherboard and an E6600 C2D CPU. Now my problem just started happening a couple days ago. I was using my computer and suddenly it turned off. I tried turning it back on and I heard these 4 bios beeps and it shut off again (the beeps went High-low-High-low). I now ...
