Looks nice, but that's not the IP43 Pro, that's the plain IP43.

Re: ?? Embarrassing: *WHICH* GTS 8800 ??

EVGA, XFX or BFG, whichever gives you the best bang for you buck. I've have a BFG and I love it. I chose BFG because at the time they offered the best price and their warranty service is excellent too.

Re: new card for kids computer

Agree, it's an awesome card for the price. I wish I had a cool gaming PC when I was a kid, but then again my dad isn't computer savvy. :P

Can't wait to see some pics. :)

Re: ASUS Unveils AMD Radeon HD 3870X2 Graphics Card

agreed the water cooling blocks for these are nuts, like EK's 3870x2 blocks around like $160+, really awesome looking blocks and Im sure preform amazing but man what a cost, time to break the piggy bank Not only that, it's specific to that card only. So once you change vido cards, you'll have to ge...

Re: ASUS Unveils AMD Radeon HD 3870X2 Graphics Card

The card looks and performs great. However, the fact that I would have to bend over backwards to watercool it is a HUGE (decisive) turn off for me. If I didn't water cool, then I would be all over it (if I could afford it).

Re: Draw The Air Through The Radiator Or Push It Through

It seems most people say that pulling is better. From my experience, when I had a Swiftech 2x120 rad on the ceiling of my case, I tried both configurations and got the exact same temps. Now I have two heatercores, one at the back and one on top of my case. One is on pushing and the other on pulling ...

Re: (2) 8800GT in SLI or one 8800GTS (G92)?

I would get a single G92 GTS because not every game works well with SLI. Some you will have better performance, some about the same as a single GT and some worse. You'll also be obligated to always have an Nvidia chipset mobo as long as you have SLI. Plus a single GTS would be cheaper.

Re: quad or dual?!

Ive been told that the Quads are seen as a dual by the games anyway because it doesnt use all 4. So I would stick with Dual...besides it OC's better and usually is a better performance / price ratio. But Ive been out of the loop for 6 months... :? I really depends on the game. There are a few (very...

Re: the "experience"

its almost 4am and i'm still slaving away at building my new PC... so many cables, switches, confusing manuals, and oh god i've got boxes and boxes to tear up and trash after all is said and done... so much for my hopeful "home at 5, built before 9" i'm thinking that i'm closer to being d...

Have you tried Day of Defeat: Source? It's a blast.

Also, Lost Planet Extreme Condition is a short, but very fun ride.

Re: high 7 or low 8?

Oh, definitely a high 7 over low 8. Any game that will NEED DX10, and it's not playable with DX9 (with the exception of Halo 2), probably won't be even worth playing with low 8 cards.

I would say the viewsonic, although i don't know about that particular model. I have purchased and installed about 50 of these, and find them to be superior to anything else i have tried in the same price range (includes Sony and Samsung) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116...

Re: opinions please!

did you happen to own that samsung? my only hesitation is the small base support... No, not that Samsung, sorry. I have heard of people that have it (in other forums, NOT newegg) and they say they love it. It's a good bang for the buck monitor. You shouldn't base your purchases on how many reviews ...
